  • Spectrum XLT realtime variable adjust?

A while back I acquired a Spectrum XLT. It is surely going to keep me busy in learning mode. One thing I find annoying is that when you want to experiment with setting changes you don't seem to be able to change the setting in realtime to test for results. Instead you change the setting and toggle the finger switch (right?) to make the change and.. poof.. you're out of the Menu you were in. Do newer Whites models work this same way? Imagine a guitar amp working this way... aarggh. Am I missing something or is this the way it has to work? Is it a hardware limitation of some sort?

On the XLT it was a limitation of the processor. The V3 allows you to change settings in real time.

I also noticed one funny thing, older Spectrum (not XLT) seems performs some functions a bit faster than newer XLT model!?
Or it was just my imagination?
After switching on newer one, the XLT, i remember i was annoyed too with it's slow responses when manipulating through onscreen functions.

Looking at the XLT manual Pgs. 15 & 17 this function seems to be the same as my DFX & Eagle Spectrum in that the last change you made can be further adjusted (after toggling) by using the up - down arrows.

          No, all the same speed.

            TH'r,
I missed that - I'll have to try it. Pretty confusing text on page 15 though. Probably easier to do than to read!

Yes, maybe are XLT displays bit more inert than, when refreshing?
Don't know what was and why, but i am almost sure i saw more inert and slower display behavior then the one on older Spectrum on which i was much used on.
Or... maybe there was some electronics problem at that particular XLT model.
Similar i experienced later when switched from Exlporer XS to SE.

                Maybe the display was tired.

IF you press UP or Down arrows the machine will adjust the LAST setting you changed.
