Good luck henrikras -why not go by ship or fly over for a short journey to Scotland - not so far from Denmark.

btw. I mentioned Denmark and Northern-Germany soon ago because of the english language
roots and the Anglos and Saxonians. You may have antique relatives there.

      > 1. In all this VLF work I was sure that a goldenring had high conductivity because of the round sharpe, it has not at this TDI..
Gold is Gold and low conducted ( newbie failure ).

Sorry my friend, but you was right and it wasn't a newbie failure. Gold absolutly is high conductive, even better than alu,
but it depends on the size and alloy! If you find natural gold it is high conductive, but most of the time in very tiny pieces
and alot jewelery consist only 1/3 or 1/2 of gold.

You don't just have to rely on sending an e-mail to a firm when you maybe left wondering if they are going to answer it or not. I remember phoning Whites in Inverness a couple of years ago and the person who answered was very helpful.

Whites CALLED me to day... Just be sure that they had tested everything I asked.
The unit will be send back tomorrow. I must say that this is outstanding service.
Only one little issue ! The ON/OFF failure never turned up in the lab at Whites, but you can't find
a broken component If everything is working perfect, so I'll just cross my fingers that is will continue working.

Do you have an idea what was faulty/replaced.?

I would bet /henrikas has already had the back off, and is wondering what mods to include!

Its working and I was out a 2 hours first time with it to day. (Weather makes it difficult to go out)
Found the first old little coin (see picture) and only two iron nails... GB6 - 20us - GAIN 75% in low conducted.
Need more time to learn, but so fare its seem to easy to handle and adjust.

Wow ! First find with your new TDI Pro ! Be nice to see the coin after cleanup. Did you watch the basic video - by Reg, in my above post ? There is so much you can do, and experiment with this type of instrument. Versatile.

Only one thing to say... Whites should make a cover to the control unit... I had to do something in a hurry, to keep rain and dust out.
thank you all and Merry Christmas.

You will not find better than Whites Service Centre UK, they are the best of the best. Highly competent Engineers and excellent product knowledge. If they can't fix it, NO ONE will be able to. I've had an awesome level of help and service from then over the years which is why I STILL swear by my trusty Eagle Spectrum. Ny time I've had a problem the guys at Whites have given me everything I needed to sort it or they have turned it around in a day or so when I sent it back to them.

first rule everybody has to remember PI detector is more sensitive to black metal that to low conductor (NOT Ohm's conductivity here -!) silver and gold. FOR what you want to buy sure TDI?

I thought it deeper. We can say that all the seats have knocked on . So choose the instrument deeper look closely to pulse .
