  • Compadre mods, again. Be nice

Everything I can find on sensitivity mod seems vague at best. If possible could someone please take the time to show how this mod is done from unscrewing the screws to screwing them back tight? I see pics where the sensitivity Potentiometer was removed and where wires were soldered in the board but I'm not an electronics genius like some of these mods assume I should be, I can solder but it's not clear from a hand drawn schematic exactly what to do, it's like a big secret. I've seen photos of knows and a new faceplate but nobody puts it into lamens terms and dumbs it down lol. I unsolder the vr4 sensitivity, replace it with wires, and presto,.. Not enough info, please help

            Has the box leaked yet?
They are waterproof if dropped into the water to keep items dry but, not rated "submersible"
Which means waterproof up to a certain depth. Many of the so called waterproof boxes when submersed for a given length of time leak due to air escaping from water pressure
expanding the air inside. I know for a fact those larger Plano boxes leak, warp on the edges. Happened to me. Found the leaks after pumping air into the box via air valve.

I have one of the smaller boxes like you was going to mount a Bounty hunter for my wife for shoreline wading, so I think they would be fine.

            Good job looks good.

Very cool, I'd love to try this but I still can't see exactly where the wires go, maybe that's a trade secret? Anyway, awesome build, this is exactly what I'd like to do to mine but apparently I am not understanding how someone without experience can understand fully how you knew which wires went where. It'd be great to see some up close photos or a drawing that anyone would clearly understand. Thanks for sharing, hopefully u can go more in depth. My compadre is brand new version, 2014. I just got it this month.

Actually this is the best version I've seen, I can almost see where the wires go with the exception of three or four. I don't wanna sound dumb, I can solder good, but as far as the schematics go I'm lost. I'd love to see,
Step one, unsolder the yellow, blue, and green wire from board that is connected to on off pot, unsolder the internal adjustable pot and replace with external pot, place red wire here, and other wires here.. I may be asking for too much but I'd appreciate it if you would help.
