Mods for the PI pro II I was thinking about

Has anyone added an LED and a meter to the audio circuit? My hearing ain't what it used to be and I can still see most things pretty good. Was thinking an LED that got brighter and a meter might make faint sound changes easier to spot. I was thinking a diode to change to DC off the audio jack and a couple of pots to adjust LED and meter might work pretty good. Anyone done this?

I am not exactly sure which detector you are talking about but this is an led circuit I use and have added to a couple of my detectors and one of my surf pi's and it works
excellent and in time with detection.

Simple to connect directly to the audio or the headphone jack. I have connected it both ways but like it connected to the headphone jack so when no headphones
are used the leds light up with detection, if using headphones it disconnects the leds. I'll see if I can post a quick video tomorrow to show how well it works.

you can also add those cheap ua digital meters too, you just need to find the right place on the schematic to connect to.
