Minelab musketeer advantage, mod. anyone tries this?

Hi everyone
Want to ask You Guys if someone tried this modification in musketeer adv. I want to add treshold potentiometer. On the PCB it seems to be two surface mounted pot. of treshold one in allmetal channel, second disc. mode. They are 100kOhm and very "touche" in adjustment. I thought to add in place of them doubled potentiometer. What You think?

Adding additional regulators if you want them always is good - best example the Blisstool.
But when I see the PCB on the jpg I'm not shure if the possible soldering points are not too small.
When the poti leads go through the back of the platine it should be easy to do but not if its a 2 layer PCB.

btw. such mod can give you alot more depth if you turn the poti fully up at e-smog clear sites. Good luck.

Use a 100K then a 1K in SERIES for fine threshold setting (COARSE AND FINE).

I have done this to dozens of machines and it was always a popular mod for Pulsar Electronics. I got lots of referrals.
