So I have been messing around with my Compadre. I have already put a sensitivity adjust on and it works fine. I decided to try to add a ground balance. I fiddled with the 2 remaining SMT on board pots and found the one that adjusts GB. I took it off and add a 3/4 turn pot (i have a 10 turn on the way) to see how it would work. When I clicked on the machine it made a slight click and then nothing. I put the old SMT pot back on and the same thing now. So it appears I broke something else in the process. Any ideas what I might have done? I know basically enough about this stuff to get myself in trouble.

Get a magnifying glass out and have a look at the tracks on the PCB around the area you soldered. Did you break a trace? Perhaps you splashed solder over onto an adjacent pad. If you can't see anything obvious, if you have a meter you could check the supply on some of the ICs on the board. Most likely +5V and -5V. Is one missing? Just some thoughts.

start upon classic way or search: at first check a power supply, after TX driver, after preopamp output.
can you give clear high definition pics of board? (all wires soldered to - one seria of pics, without wires - another
seria of pics)

Thanks for all the help guys. It turns out after much exasperation and testing and squinting. I found the problem. I even compared everything I could against my other compadre with the same board. The answer was totally non technical. When I was moving the box around I had unplugged the coil. I didnt plug it back in, hense the problem. THis is a little easier to do with my compadre because I have about a 1' pigtail to the plug so its not directly on the box. I feel like such an idiot. Oh the shame
