A few people on the U.K forums have been talking about these Steepletone 'phones, at a very low price.
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Steepleton...-/111828091416
They have very low latency (sub - 50msec) and work well, it seems, apart from the short battery life, which is easily remedied with a larger capacity battery pack.It sound like you know what you're doing with a soldering iron, so the modifications should be no problem.
The simplest solution is of course stay with wired 'phones.

the arm band can be a solution, but why to implement to a wireless detector an extra wireless) (Steepletone 'phones) . this can be good for wired detectors. i'm not smart enough to understand how it works just seeing the pcb inside the remote .. i asume that is fixed frequency transmitter/receiver... apart from all the adjustments you can do from the mojo(original wireless headphones) thankyou for your answers. maybe someone will open our eyes.

If you would read some XP Deus threads.. Then you properly will notice that none had succes making Headphones similar XP Deus Stock WS 4 or WS 5. (Your are properly not the first owner, with the idea to make some XP Deus wireless Headphones)
Armband solution and some Headphones (32 ohm) with Volume is the option I would say, "next best after WS 4 or WS 5".
The wired backphones XP makes, less than 20£, will do a good job. (Not only at the Deus, but at many other detector brands)
