  • More depth for the Tesoro Silver uMax, please.

    Hi all.
Can you tell me modification to give more sensitivity to a Tesoro Silver uMax?

    Thank you very much.

    hello,

    welcome to the techers' forum.

in my pale opinion you may add treshold and ground balance pots at its housing.
can you send me hi resolution pics of the board under good light?
    my email [email protected]

    kind regards
    Anatloy

Obolo, your pics are blur ((( but resolution is nice!

can you turn your camera in Macro mode, at first (flower sign)? At second, can you zoom image on maximum? (i mean the optical zoom, NOT DIGITAL).

          thank you!

I messed around with a Bandito for a while and the two things that definitely made a difference were
adding a diode to the 4024 diodes (this added 1/2" depth) and changing the filter cap on the last LM358
                (better sens). See this schematic;

I found test on the Bandido to be insistent with air tests in the house.

The auto tune in no motion mode it badly affected by electrical interference in the house and throttles back the threshold with the result of poor depth.

In discrimination you can run the sensitivity at 100% and get an extra inch or so by waving a coin at the same speed as chirps and you will get a solid beep every time but you cant't run the detect this hot in the field.

In the ground I get the same depth as air tests in the house even though I am running it less hot.
