Bandido II Umax VDI?

Anyone try hooking up a VDI to a bandido II Umax?

Where would be a good place to take the X and Y?

Was thinking of trying arduino vdi with it.

Looks like I found a post on the eldorado.. ill try and find a similar set of connections in the bandido II umax.. if not ill just probe till I do..



I was really interested in how the disc and all metal channels would change the VDI as I moved the disc up.. Was thinking if the disc resistance can be monitored with the arduino (and i can) could you not just upscale or downscale the VDI accordingly?

Electronics are not my strong suit.. but I do quite a bit of programming so I think it would be neat to try..

For Arduino VDI, i can tell u for IDX, it depends on how u set disc pot. For example, must be found pot position where numbers starting to give 0 number or going to negative for iron, but there is no extra depth, cause 0 range for iron is when pot rejected small iron. It's useful for non fero targets, but as i said, no extra depth if u wanna that.
