  • Backlight DeLeon

Was wondering if anyone has pics of where the Cotes connects the back-light to the pcb? The DeLeon obviously has a back-light thats not connected, and despite all the pictures I've seen of the Cortes, none show the connection to the pcb.

I've see the resistors on the Cortes switch that makes me think its just connected to the on/off knob...?

    Thanks for any help.

Well it was more a question if someone had the pics of the Cortes which I dont. Here are some that I found that like I said dont show the connection.. Im guessing its just connected to the power switch and a couple resistors knock it down to 5v.

again guys I URGENTLY AND URGENTLY ask you do the images more legible.

please do these step by step!

          1. wait clear sunday time. the sun must be VERY OPEN!
          2. GO OUT from your home, at your homeyard, at the sunlight.
          3. place PCB so the sun light will be from left upper PCB corner.
          4. the shadows must be short, but they must be!
          5. do a photoshooting.
          6. you have NOT EVEN A TINY CHANCE here to get the answer if you are doing your Home Work poorly and woorse.
          7. set your camera on high resolution. your pics has to be from 5MB and more.
          8. send your pics to
[email protected] with subject in subject field:
new hires pics of board [detector model name] for your collection.
          9. Forget your egoistic intentions only take on and give nothing in return.
do not cultivate your EGO here.
          10. do not waste your time making pics in your room. you will get only trash absolutely
unusable. yes, you and me are not professional cameraman and have not the needed
light pro equipment on your working table, so keeping some rules i offer and you will get perfect pics and btw will learn how to make perfect photos of your family,
lovingyou, children and the Nature itself. BELIEVE ME thats is EASILY!

GOOD LUCK IN THIS YOUR NEW HOBBY.

On your second photo. The lcd module on it's left side has two square unsoldered pads. Labeled "A" and "K", these are the backlight connections. The A goes to the battery plus and the K to minus. Add a series resistor to limit the current.

              I have better coming..

The lcd on the deleon is a little different but I'm thinking its just pins 1-2 out of the 16 that are in the normal lcd connecter.

The USMPC-TQ0801C-PNYYA is 53mm wide and is a bit short of the one in the DeLeon. It measures right at 63mm.

Sorry should have put the LCD size not the module. The USMPC-TQ0801C-PNYYA is 35mm LCD size. The LCD in the DeLeon is 63mm.http://www.usmicroproducts.com/sites...801B-TBYBH.pdf But its not blue.. the LCD in the DeLeon must be discontinued?

Wonder what the Hawkeye has in it?
