Does anyone know how to get the schematics for this or can one of you tech savvy folks do
the mod for me? I don't know how to read schematics.

I'm new here. I found you folks by Gerd giving a link to here.

    Thanks!
    Tony

I built one. Works as expected. Used it as my main detector for about a year. Slightly out preforms the IDX in real fields due to is better discrimination. Can be made really light due to running from 1 x PP3 battery.

True no motion all metal mode is brilliant. Allows you to move the coil around to size an shape a target.

Down sides are. Doesn't go down to 0 discrimination and get the ground balance out you loose loads of depth.

Do you lose loads of depth when in disc mode? Is it a lot deeper than a normal Bandido Tesoro sold?

Is a straight copy of the BANDIDO II µMAX

Depth is nothing special. But looses less in the ground than the IDX when using enough discrimination to knock out large rusty forged nails.

With a small 5 1/2" it still picks up a pre decimal penny at 10" with in the field settings.

I would add Tesoros of this age nearly all preform the same. If you have built the TGSL or any of the others it probably a waste of time building this unless you need the no motion mode for hunting streams or woods.
