Adapt audio output Vallon VMH3C?

I have just ordered an ex-Army Vallon VMH3C, but wanted to ask for help in changing the earpiece: currently it comes with a military earpiece/strap arrangement from a 6-pin plug, how difficult would it be for me to convert this to an ordinary earphone jack plug? Do such adaptors exist off-the-shelf?
