  • 12v li ion step down coverter to output 9v for vaquero?

    i have a 12v li ion rechargable battery with 3400mah and wanted to hook it up to my vaquero for extra long run times... which converter will give the highest efficiency to output exactly 9v?

    i was looking at these...any suggestions thanks...

      Just go with something like this . You could use like two 18650 series and you would get tired before the batteries do.

        tesoro is low-current device HF. no sharply need to use 8 Ampere converter where you have to use 50mA one.
        sorry, but you must 'feel' the electronics by your hypophysis not by general representations.
        to learn that way.

          If it works, I use it. That pcb is unique in that no matter what the input voltage ( within it's range ) it produces the same output as set. Most handy.

                sorry Sven but we have to estimate the Coefficient of Efficiency. so for linear reostat you gave the link CE is 20-30% like a oldest locomotive on coal working.
                all surplus in power is going out in heat, in space.
                impulse converter CE is 85-90% like modern japanese monorail

                forget reostats.

                    No you don't, you either have 11,1v or 14,8v! (3 or 4 cells in series)

                    For the 11v you don't need any converter at all because 9v parts also will "survive" 11v.

                      Careful - All batteries have a range of output Voltage depending on their state of charge.
                      A fully charged Li 3 cell is 12.6V (4.2V per cell). Minimum at full discharge is 11.1V (3.7V per cell).

                        fukfinger leave your laugh OUT. i was FIRST historically in the THE converters usage matter.
                        i used converter in DP, ELITE, QUICK DRAWII while you was absent. so seat there out quiet in the corner.

                            Wrong! The charging power is 4.2v DC for a single LiPo-cell but the storage voltage sinks
                            extremly fast to 3.5v-3.7v - concerning the nominal value 3.7v batteries (the older 3.6v)

                            Anyway - 9v circuits can deal also with short "ultra high" *laugh* 12.6v peaks!

                              These are suposed to be for RC flight controllers to avoid noise from the battery. I have not tried one on a detector yet. programmable in 1/10 v increments. Was thinking it would also be a good power source for a TD3x.
                              Should be good clean power.

                              Has anyone here had experiance with these in a detector circuit?
