Carl removed Off topic part of the forum.
I only regret for "There is only one better detector than Deus, it's a Deus with larger coil" ... or something like that, can't recall exact name that i gave it.
Lot of constructive, informative and productive posts were in that topic. Many other topics too in that part of the forum. Among many BS too, of course.
So in one recent topic (which he removed too) he thanks me on this and that... and minute after he spits on significant part of my work and contribution; by deleting my most favorite topic on forum!
Carl i don't need your "thanks" now after 16 years of ignoring and belittling everything that comes from my side... but you should have been at least so honest not to erase some topics that were good.
Although to some extent I understand; the elusive XP Deus and any story about it is literally a finger in the eye to mediocrities from competing companies.
Something they will never be able to do.
Irreparable damage was done by deleting some topics. But the loss is only yours. In the end, you lose. For example, something like this:

Great job Ivconic! This month i bought deus lite again and now i’m trying to find a suitable low voltage/consumption audio amplifier for it. The ws4 is 300euro cheaper than the remote, and does the same thing.

Still nothing finished. Working on GUI still.
After that will do some serious processing.
I don't see the STM32 as most brilliant choice for this, it is just temporary solution.
Until my newest EPSP32 development board arrives.
But 320x240 will always be 320x240, so GUI made for it will remain actual on ESP32 too.
All the screen elements are separate objects. Not a simple bitmap. But separate active objects.
And that's what makes it indeed hard and tedious to do.
I used bitmap only for a "horse shoe" lookalike graphic at the left side of the screen.
It eats the memory so i will expel it from final solution.
Goal is not actually to replicate the Deus, what's benefit from that?
Goal was to start from scratches and during the process to build up something new.
Deus GUI was just starting template.

              Ivica,

I got tired of the O/T forum being used to post nonsense and even attack people. Funfinder's last threatening post to me was the final straw: I turned it off.

I do agree that there were a few good threads there and as I get time I will see what I can find that's worth moving somewhere else. I've started with your Deus thread; it is now the lead thread in the new "General Detectors" forum.

Once again, Geotech is for the discussion of detecting technology. If you want to talk about that, then have at it. If you want to talk about something else, the Internet is full of other forums.

I missed that... his post. Usually i ignore his writings completely.
Too large, too nonsense and usually nothing interesting in his posts.
Yes, probably 80% of total rubbish in Off topic part, some of those mine own...
If I can turn back time; I would probably find other method to fight the boredom.

Coca Cola lookalike can perfectly match as possible enclosure for the active side of the phones.
Also can be 3D printed anyway you like.
As for amplifier; beware to match properly the audio signal levels.
                  Plenty low consumption integrated amplifiers.
D-Class especially. Work for hours on 3.8v.
                  For example PAM8403, 2x3W, 2.5-5v working voltage.

Beware when connecting a speaker, don't use common ground but only dedicated output pins.
Once in the past i had Minelab GP3000 and was annoyed by its headphones, so i added small box with LM386 (at the time cheap D-Class modules didn't exist on market) and small sort of a bootstrap level matching.
                  It worked like a charm.
You may try to experiment with the values to perfectly match the levels.

                  ...
On second thought... such D-class amps are horrible source of any possible noise and may disturb the Deus BT transmission, so it is maybe better to use good old LM386 with 20x gain, should be enough.
                  ...
I have several BT battery operated speakers. Almost a rule that there is a D-class amplifier inside, small consumption and high amplification level. Usually works crystal clear, no noise at all.
                  And BT is not distrubed.
So i don't know how they did it?! My attempts with such modules were total disaster. PAM module on one of my attempts totally "blanks out" the BT transmission and introduce horrible noise and whistle at the output side.
I tried everything, i put voltage regulators and bedlam of filters everywhere; i can't get rid of whistle!
On one of my last attempt i put 4 chokes and 2 voltage regulators and all what i got is 60% attenuated whistle.
So... better to walk the proven paths; LM386 with small gain will work like a charm, as always.

                        Almost agree.
I have all, complete, remote, headphones, smaller and large coil.
Headphones will do the job just fine as standalone detector... except that it can't adjust some important options.
For me; most important feature is Silencer. Extraordinary for heavily infested sites.
On clean sites i adjust it to -1, sometimes to 0, maybe to 1. Mostly the case when i hunt for interesting iron targets, relics etc.
But in most of the cases, on infested sites it is at 4.
Completely rejects iron trash while still nicely accepts good targets.
So you gonna miss that option. But you can always use help from a friend who is having remote.
Adjust and store few programs on remote and than transfer those to headphones.
In such case you miss nothing.

                          Ivconic,

My project is 3d printed. I want to make it small and as nice as possible. Li-po, charger, miniusb, headphone output.. Ws4 is mono output, the headphones are 32ohm paralel= 16ohms. I ordered some cladd D amp modules (1-2W) and thin speakerd from aliexpress. tried some but gain is not enough. (don't know why) Deus remote has 8ohm 0.5W speaker but i don't know what ic has for audio. It is very loud!

I must research about class D noise. I cannot use lm386 because supply voltage is >4V and i need a small circuit.

                          Pam8302 on the way
                          Xpt8871 on the way
                          5128 on the way
                          Hxj8002 - sound not enough
                          Ns8002 - sound not enugh
                          I must do something wrong.

Osc signal is with max volume on ws4 and target waving on the coil. You can see some spikes and signal at max volume aprox 500mV peak to peak.

I had before remote, but sold it also. I don't look at ID numbers or horseshoe, xy screen. If i have non ferrous sound i dig, no matter how bad it is. Sometimes i dig also ferrous, big or deep faint. From experience, deus give iron signal at detection limit for nonferrous sometimes.

Silencer is very important feature, i asked one friend remote and saved few special programs. silencer and tone breaks you cannot modify with ws4 (but i want to start working in fulltones )

Regarding your work, is amazing, you are very skilled. if you develop a good detector (vlf - above average) and beautiful, light design, lcd ... you cand start selling. after that you just need advertisement. (i don't know Serbja law although).

I hope the weather will change because in the last weeks i did not went detecting because of rain.

Part of the "trick" with loud remote sound is in enclosure resonance too along with excellent speaker.
                            Also perfectly optimized output.
Strangely enough; i never opened my remote during these 9 years, so i can't tell what's the audio amp.
I saw some photos done by other people but also can not say about the amp.
Playing with Arduinos i know that even a chip itself can produce loud audio on digital pins and only 2 transistors in push-pull configuration.
TDA7231 can work from 1.8v for example, i tried it.
Next is LM4818 which provides extra loud audio at Garrett Aces. But 6v supply.
MC34119 can work from 2v supply and above.
Don't know many other chips, don't following new trends.
I think that you should try bootstrap simple schematic that i posted and adjust only the values to match line level input on D-class amp.
                            ...
                            "...
if you develop a good detector..."

That will most probably never happen. Because i don't even try that.
I am "hypnotized" only by the programming part of the story.
I like to study and learn more in programming skills, that's all.

Many thanks Ivconic. I added just a 220ohms resistor paralel to 8002 amplifier input and now is loud and clear. I have to monitor consumption as it is class ab. Anyway class d amps are on the way and i will test those also.
