    Can anyone tell me how to lower the audio freq on the Bandito II umax?It is set to high for my preference.

    Hi Allen

    The audio frequency is set to 625Hz as default.
    Move the cathode on the diode that connects to pin 11 on the 4024 and connect it to pin 5.
    By doing so, you half the frequency to 312.5Hz.
    Hopefully it will fit your ears better.

      When I lowered mine, I added another diode to pin 5 rather than moving one. I have to look up the frequency, but I don't think it was half.

          By moving the diode you'll get a period of 3200us and it's low for 400us.
          By adding a diode you'll get the same period: 3200us, but it's low for only 200us.
          Frequency is 312.5Hz for both.

              Actually, it's all theoretical so far. I'm looking for a good PCB before I start building.
              Maybe I'll make my own PCB with a switch for high/low tone =)
