Convert coils for use on the Coinstrike

The biggest drawback of the Fisher Coinstrike is a lack of coils smaller than 8".I have observed that the Coinstrike suffers interference from 6.59khz White`s machines and that these White`s searchcoils have identical plugs to the Fisher detector.Would it be practical to rewire the Whites coil plugs to match the Fisher?If so ,what is the wiring sequence?

A customer asked me to do exactly this recently. Tried it....Didn't work!

I was afraid something like that would be the case ,it really seemed to be just too good to be true.We will just have to hope Fisher finally makes one.Different impedance maybe?I recently heard a rumor from a well connected person that one of the major aftermarket coil makers had been trying to design a small coil for the Coinstrike but could not get it to work.Very odd don`t you think?
