  • Waterproof Battery/Headphone Pod w/stand

I'm waterproofing my Minelab Explorer and moving the control box to a lightweight Whites S-shaft. Here are a few pics of the waterproof battery/headphone pod. Battery/headphone wires enter the front, headphone cable exits the rear.

Thumbscrews at the rear for quick battery swaps. Uses common AA 8 cell battery holder.

Side view, mounted to a 3 piece Whites S-shaft which are ultra-light. Length is about the same as an Excalibur battery pod, I could have shortened this quite a bit but at this length it will straddle just about any size armcuff.

Bottom view, 316 stainless screws up front as I will rarely need to remove that cap. Silicone o-rings by the way. Black parts are ABS, clear parts are polycarbonate as is the tube.

Here its is setup for hip mounting on a belt.

You're having way too much fun with that CNC mill.

Waterproof explorer is a great idea. I use explorer with a cable extension to search in lakes. I take the explorer in a litle baby boat, but it some times not good solution. I also would like to made a watterproof case, but I could not remove the handle from the machie. Can I get help?
