  • tone change to help hearing impared

My mother is hearing impared (and one of my favorite hunting partners), and she has trouble with high pitch. Is there a circuit that I can build that would take my headphone audio and change the pitch to a lower one? This would be a great advantage to her hearing range. I tried an amp, but volume was not the problem, it's pitch. She hunts with a Tesoro Toltec 100 as do I.

    Tone

I designed headphones that changed the tone. They are not in production but maybe I can wip one up. Is this a silent search machine with only one tone?

It's a Tesoro Toltec 100, it only puts out 1 tone. Do you have a schematic for the circuit? What I already tried to do was to fire a schmidt trigger that enabled a multivibrator tone generator at the tone that I wanted. For some reaso I couldn't get the results that I wanted. I also just tries straight amplification, but because her problem is pitch related, it didn't help.

Sorry for the bad posting job.

These schematics go with the other post I made that has the text files. William

            Tone change

I can't release my schematic, but what you can do is rectify the audio with a diode and maybe a 10uF cap and drive a sonalert device that hopefully makes a tone you like.

              William...

Why bother amplifying? There is plenty of power there from the audio already.
