    Looks great! Just curious as to why you went with the S-shaft design and not a straight shaft of some nature.

      I may try a straight shaft at some point but there are some points in favor of this S shaft. First its lighter than any straight shaft. Your hand will block the screen on a straight shaft. And I may not be able to position the control box as far back e.g. the balance may not be as good. For hip/chest deep wading though I think a straight shaft might be the way to go.

        Really like the mods. Could you elaborate on your probe and how it was constructed. I was interested in the black cap at the sensor end as to what it was or if you milled it to fit.
