I haven't stopped by ORMA yet, I'll try to tomorrow.

I ran into a problem with the detector... when I dry-fitted it together, it tested fine. But after I sealed it up with RTV, it was dead. So I had to pull it all back apart... was hoping that a wire just got pulled off, but a cursory look did not reveal anything. So, I will figure it out, and get it finished ASAP. Sorry for the delay.

Okay Carl just keep me informed. You think there could be a short in the headphones or something. Anyhow me and the wife and kids are headed out to the beach in the morning. Just let me know how things are going. We will be back on the 11th. Sorry the detector is giving you problems. In a way that makes me feel better because I know you have the knowledge to fix it and I don't know anything about them. Holler at you later.

You know, THAT'S WHY I COME HERE, to this forum, people actually help each other instead of calling names and putting each other down like on the UK forums. At least people listen to you then draw conslusions later here. Nice one Carl.

I think I have one of these, same problem when I sold it, me answer was t odrill out the "studs" that take the power through the housing and replace them with brass bolts (small ones) I fitted solder tags onto these and sealed the whole thing with (please excuse the expletive but that's what it's known as in the RAF) Yak sh*t!! I think it's also known as BOSTIK "C", sticks like s**t and smells about as bad too, but it sure works on waterproof stuff, it should, they use it to caulk fuel tanks!!
