  • Search coil 1x1m on Pulse Master Pro

    Hi,
I was given a Mikron Pulse Master Pro (just the box) which did not work, I was able to fix it however I would like to make the searchcoil 1m.
My question, what is it made of (cable/coils/components ...)?
Is there a trick to passing these wires/cables through the PVC tubes?
    Thanks.

I don't know anything about the Mikron, but a common method is to get a multi-conductor cable, feed it through, then connect the wires to make a continuous coil. For 1m you probably need 8-10 turns.

          Thanks for the advice.

I haven't had time to do it yet (just the PVC frame) but I recovered from my work from the unshielded cable in 6 pairs of 1mm2 each (used in rail).
The only question I ask myself is by doing 10 laps, I will end up with 1 unused pair in the cable.
Can this lead to operational problems?

As long as the unused wires don't accidentally create a shorted loop then it should not be a problem. You could also parallel them with 2 of the regular turns.
