  • Integrator and latch VCO

Transistor latch and one green LED can add VCO functionality to almost any metal detector, just need to be added to final DC amplifier / integrator stage.
In result this modification add VCO mode and expand working voltage range of integrator while the original integrator or dc amplifier goes in to saturation and remains useless
VCO turns on only at strong signals, with weak signals detector will operate as original, without modification.
Not pretend to be original, but this is what I came up with

Here is simulation with different input voltages

Note that at an input voltage of 55 mV, the original circuit should already enter in useless saturation mode but instead it switches and operates as VCO

    Hi Vadim18,

interesting circuit... thanks for posting it. By the way. Which software are you using for drawing and simulating the circuit?

Hi, i use Texas Instruments Tina-Ti. I have LTSpice and free version of MicroCap11 but prefer Tina-Ti for it user friendly interface, it reminds me elecronic workbench 5.
