  • Conductivity Switch

I want to add a conductivity switch to a Whites TDI BeachHunter, just as is on the TDI SL.

By reading online I have identified the cables with crimps 820-1393 and plug 752-1737 on https://uk.rs-online.com that gives me a plug into board and 3 wires from it to the switch but I am unsure as to which switch I should order. The 3 position toggle switch allows detecting in All, (low and high conductors), High or Low.
I see (On) Off (On) and On Off On in descriptions which has added to my confusion and uncertainity. I read on some descriptions that they were IP67 and boot seals were not needed.
I do not mind a belts and braces approach and adding a seal for a bit more waterprrofness.
The unit will not be used underwater, but it does rain a lot here in Wales.
I hope someone can post a part number or link.
    Thank you,
    Regards,
    Rog

(On) Off (On) means the On positions are momentary. So you want On Off On, or SPDT with center off. No, the SL did not use a waterproof switch. Get a switch that is compatible with a Hexseal boot.

Thank you Carl for the explanation and suggestion; very helpfull. I will look again at the switches and apply the filters in searching the site; e.g. On Off On.
I haven't any knowledge about the Hexseal boots, so will look into that.
