OK lets TRY this. I re-entered the scematic witt some errors fixed. Look at the DISc / PP switch over 4016's I think the manual switch can be eliminated.
This is in PROTEL DXP format. I can edit it freely so please dont ***** about it being locked as all permissions have been granted for modifictaion.
IF you DO have a problem then please post here. BTW I also have the PCB I started on with (obviously) the errors from the schema.
This project is meant as a STARTING point for a high power rapid search machine. As previously explained I will HELP; all I can to sort problems out but it's a WORK IN PROGRESS and if you take it on (as some have) then it's meant to have the bugs ironed out by YOU until there is a FINISHED design that anyone on the forum can take on and sell commercially as a kit or finished unit if they wish.

OK Here are the Schema and PCB I hope!!
Hi Sean,
No many people here have Protel software. Please can you post as a jpeg?
Thanks.
Qiaozhi, It has been posted as a jpeg before and some of the errors put right. I found the file on an old CD-ROM I was going to shred.
If there and import feature in Eagle from Protel or a way to convert, as I'll happily do this for everyone.
I see a lot of errors due to my inexperience with Protel, and a few stupid ones I should have seen. Stragnely enough, someone sems to think this ia fake circuit. SURE IT IS, I spent two months making a fake so I sould look stupid (well more stupid that I already do) I was hoping some of those like yourself and KT315 would pick up on the mistakes and help make this int oa project for the forum (like the Hammerhead, which I ALSO believe had a few minor problems). I will try to convert ot Eagle ov the next month of so, but I'm on holiday for three weeks with no internet after this.

Thanks Sean,
I thought perhaps this was something different than before, as you mentioned you had re-entered the schematic and corrected some errors. If you can print from your copy of Protel, it should be possible for you to produce a PDF using the free CutePDF software. Have you heard of CutePDF? It just acts like another printer on your system, and it seems to work with everything you can throw at it.
Would love to make this a project for the forum, but like yourself I'm also trying to do fifteen things at once.
I had a little experience with Protel 99SE "demo" (very basic experience) and would like to try and learn Altium. As I was looking this schematic over I started noticing some of the issues Sean alluded to. The schematic page is very large, and it's difficult to get the "big picture", but here are some issues I've found so far.
Battery symbol is reversed, and 79M12 and 79M05 should be 78XX series devices.
VCC on LM393 U1A "+"input should be changed to GND
Add VCC to top of R36
Change "Wave Ground" symbol GND (grid 6B, near Sensitivity pot) to "Power Ground". Probably machs nix, just for consistency.
I already suggested some alterations to the audio sections but did not mention that the original connections are incorrect. See my previous post for my suggested hook-up and component values. I don't claim to be an engineer so use your own judgement.
That's a start. I believe this design has merit - just needs some attention. I may fix it up some and post my corrections, but I'm really slooow, so don't hold your breath. I have about one hour of experience with Altium.
Altium can create a PDF file, but at 6 pages long, there's not point until some errors are ironed out.
Ho-hum
HC4016 pins 7 connections were moved to VDD, not pins 8.
What-do-you-know, Altium DXP has a "smart PDF" feature that puts everything on one page, in focus, and, with a searchable index. Outstanding!.
Four star performance.
I have made some "major" revisions to my copy of Sean's "Drive_G. schdoc". Changes are listed in bottom right corner of page. Here I post PDF copy that shows revisions I think necessary. You may find others, so take a look.
Now, I suppose I should stop being an Eagle junkie and learn to use DXP, hmm? It's not so BAAADDD .
If anybody wants a DXP schdoc with changes let me know by PM, otherwise, I see no reason to post it any time soon.
OK, looks like you beat me to getting round to doing the upgrades.
I've looked at the diagram and IMHO it looks about perfect now. Nothing I can do except to say refer to Eldorado schematic if there are any other questions.
I DO know what signals should be where though, so if you build the updated version and then cant get it going AND you have an oscilloscope, I CAN tell you what to look for and where.
