  • Idea?

First off,I just wanna say that this forum is AWESOME!!!I just wished I knew about circuits and electrical .K,My thought is this and I'm just curious if someone here could tell me how or If it'll work.If you took say an item like here http://cgi.ebay.com/Electronic-Gold-...286.c0.m14.And you attach a long probe to it,would you be able to stick it in the ground and find gold?Granted,I know you'd have to physically touch the gold and hold it in one spot for the 2sec. to get a reading, but wouldn't that be better than moving soooo much earth or would it even be worth the time to build one??I'd love any kinda responce, help, ideas, and or opinions on this subject please. Thanks so much

The Idea has been out there. This one uses a different attack but would be better. I have never used one but see the potential in some locations.

      Hi,
I agree with homefire: in some places it could be the best solution to know if there's gold or other stuff.
But keep in mind there are very few situations where you'll actually could use such exotic method.

I have in mind the movies of Oak Island as example.

For those who don't know about... there's claimed there is a big treasure under the ground there... in kinda of a "well"... lot of mud stuff ...and salt water that floods the well easy and frequently.

In that scenario... where you have about identified the "location" you'll probe for gold !

I remember that many years ago someone used a kind of small diameter drill (maybe under 1inch) to explore the well and found actually wood and gold in the arm of drill when extracted from the well.

This sure was a destructive method... invasive I mean... but gold was found that way...

This test you are talking about could be used, with relative optimizations, in such situations where you already know there could/must be something but at very deep and in difficault places like wells or e.g. a lake floor and similar stuff.

You could make such kind of probe to "pinpoint" and e.g. slime or sand covered gold treasure or other metals...depending on apparatus.

Suppose, for example, you know there's something valuable in a 150meters deep water... but , sure, you'll not use diving to locate the hot spot : you could use a rov stuff with such a drilling probe to explore under the slime or sand for such stuff....

Sure you'll need other stuff like magnetometers and pi detectors for that... but the definitive proof that there's actually gold there could be from such kind of drill and analyzer stuff.

The big advantage respect to a conventional drill is that this system require much less power on drill stuff... cause you need to just touch the metal to know what is there... not perforating it and taking a sample!
This way if suitable for ROV operations.

So... you'll not dig the sand and spend money for just some illegal lead waste recovery!

      Kind regards,
      Max
