Micheal,
You may be interested in this free software that makes your PC into a oscilloscope, using the sound card in your PC.

The 'scope has a limited frequency response, and is intended mainly for audio circuits. But will probably give you a fair idea of what's going on in most MD circuit.
It also has a frequency analyser for frequencies up to 20kHz, which you can use to measure the frequency of an oscillator. There is also an audio oscillator.
As I said, it is limited in its use, but -heh - it'd FREE. So why not dowload it and try it? Take note of the need to use a resistive attenuator if the circuit you are measuring exceeds 5V.

hi
I designed the XL-500 digital. If you want to do if the PCB of my stock. Software no problem. I've made a similar escape attempt. I made such an analog circuit and digital delta pulse.
I'm ready for my XL-500 PCB. But will you make it. I also write software.
