Thanks Nakky!

"Rely pure artwork!
Congratulations.
Have you sealed coil for this baby?
Can you please post some coil pictures too."
Yes, i will post photo of coil soon as it gets dry. I must not move it now. Epoxy can gush. Tonight
or tomorrow i will post.

"What is performance after installed PCB in to box ?
Is it better Now?"
Yes, performances are very good. As you can see on previous photos; front panel and smaller rear
piece (coil connector mounted on it) are metal. Later to front panel added engraved plastic plate (face). So, metal in front, metal rear,
plus Al shield inside (like on many originals). S/N ratio on pcb seems perfect.
Comparing with performances of original Eldorado....hmmm... this one is much better. Maybe 30%
better results than original. But keep in mind that i made 27cm DD coil with this one, while
original coil was smaller.

"It's just a pity that you don't live somewhere with less import/export restrictions.
You could make a good business of selling just the enclosures and coil housings."
Yes, pitty. But not for reason you mentioned. But, for many other reasons. If i lived in UK last 20 years...most probably
i would never start to make my own handmades. I would buy originals from time to time and so far would have nice collection.
Reffering enclosures and coil housings... both are "imported" from Bulgaria. I am just using those to pack my handmades.
There are people in Bulgaria who are making and selling those plastic products. Still, after several years of using those, i
dont have infos about those people. I got piece or two from time to time from various friends who traveling there or coming here.
And yes...once i made small serie of 20 coil housings...i forgot that!? Long time ago...
Most recent 3 enclosures (one from photos) i got by mail(packet) from our fellow member here.
I would rather post his nick here...yet i dont know if he would agree.
I would use this occasion to repeat my THANKS and TRIBUTES to him for those enclosures.

"seems better than original!
(and much probably IS )"
It is better. I had original Eldorado on service and do know its performances. But...keep in mind that original Eldorado was
in production in late '80. So...

"What a nice job, very profesional.
Congratulations Ivconic.
Nelson"
Thanks Nelson!

Yes, that was the main reason why i choosed it long time ago for packing almost all my handmades; TGSL, Eldorado....some PI and few others. Also i adapted all my newer pcb's to fit that enclosure. You may already noticed several pcb's i posted on this forum - all with dimensions and shape to fit enclosure. Easy to be serviced and easy to make experiments in "vivo" without much of mess on table. But...all the credits certainly goes to Fisher, this enclosure is direct copy of 12xx serie enclosures. Also credits should go to Bulgarian manufacturer who is producing those nowdays by very acceptable prices.

That is a very nice box, Ivconic. There are some coil housing manufacturers here in the US but I don't know of any MD cabinet makers.
I have suggested to the people at Hays electronics that there is a market for metal detector cabinets to complement their line of coil housings. It seems like such a simple and logical thing for them to do. But I was ignored.

Fisher 1265, 1266, 1236, 1225......1210 maybe, take any of those and examine enclosure.
Gold Bug and Gold Bug II have almost the same shaped enclosures but with smaller dimensions.
Minelab Colt and XS ( also 15000,16000 and 17000) also do have very convenient enclosures....so as some Compass's and newer Cscopes...
