how difficult is it to change the ground balance on the vaquero to the ground balance of the laser trident 11,which has the advanatage of being able to either operate in fixed or manual adjusted ground balance.this i feel would allow the operator a choice.most of the areas i detect in,i don't need to ground balance but i do because that is the only option i have,short of buying another detector.blowfly

This is usually pretty easy to do. You would need to trace out the circuitry around the GB pot to see how it connected, which will tell you what kind of toggle switch to use. Then adjust the GB to where you want it fixed and measure the pot resistances.
