  • Bandido II uMax audio frequency

Hi, I'm not comfortable with the sound of my Bandido II uMax (630Hz). I'm looking to change this frequency but I've not info about this mod....

    Any help wil be appreciated.

    Thanks in advance.

The audio frequency is determined by the hook-up of the 4024 counter IC, which divides down the TX frequency. You should be able to look at the schematic and see how this is done, and to figure out how to change it. I suspect this limits you to binary divisions, so you could change it to 315Hz or 1260Hz but nothing in between. To get something in between, you would need to change the TX frequency which is OK in a small amount (5% or so), but a large amount can throw off the disc settings.

      Tesoro Bandido Audio

Hi Carl, thanks for the info I'll look at the schematics and I'll try to change it to an upper frequency. I'm not comfortable with sounds below 800 .

      Thanks again.

      Happy finds and happy 2010.
