Minelab Sovereign internal dimensions

Hi, I need to know the dimensions of the Minelab sovereign PCB, I'm considering waterproofing it so i need to know the pcb dimensions in order to get a proper box.

Hi Solmer2,

You have 2 boards, the larger is 5.125 x 4.50 and the second is 2.50 x 4.50. I have waterproofed many sovereigns and this case works well but I wouldn't recommend it for diving or constant underwater use. In the rain and for an occasional dunking it works great. I've never had a leak yet. Stay away from the clear top as it will stress crack. This solid balck type is the way to go.

Hi plumabob, great work! that's what i'm looking for, by the way, do you know where to get waterproff pots? I've saw that your unit have waterproof pots as well as wate. switchs.

I've used Vishay p16 series pots or mil-spec pots with stainless steel shafts and hexseals. Both work well. I did have one P16 that failed recently, wasn't sure why so I went back to the mil-spec pots.
