GoldPic3 with Stuart 2 code?

I recently built a Goldpic3 with and 8" coil. While the unit performs decently, it was designed and programmed for beachcombing. The pulse delay is set for 30uS and the code is locked in the chip. I know this design is similar to Mark Stuart's PI 2. Has anyone used different code on a Goldpic 3 to adjust pulse delay? My next project is Carl's HH2 but I was trying to make the Goldpic 3 a little more versatile.

The code for the stuart does not support goldpic,as the stuart does not have an lcd etc.and output pulse and sample are on different pins on the pic.
