  • Spectrum Analyzer - What would be the best way to interface

Hello, I want to analyze the audio output that I am getting from my MD with Audio Spectrum Analyzer running on a PDA or Notebook - My Question is how can I connect my headphone output to the (mic) I assume on my Notebook or PDA? Any Help will be appreciated - Do they make a adapter that goes from the headphone input to a mic input? Thanks!

Notebook audio-in signal have to be about 1V max. So you can try with simple pots voltage divider first (pot about 1k, both ends paralel to headphone contacts and slider to analyzer) as adapter or see by scope MD output audio signal first (maybe you do not need any adapter). Do not suply both devices over main adapter or you can get short. Use for one (or both) batteries.
