coil extension cable for Minelab Explorer

hi guys.
has anyone ever made a coil extension cable for their Minelab Explorer. i have the 2 plug ends needed to make one. so i was wondering if anyone has got anys plans for the job. i have read that their is a "fantasy ground wire" or something like that when you make one of these cables. this is why i am mainly asking if anyone has made one before incase its not as strait forwards as it sounds.

use two coax cables or low loss video vhs cable-its two in one. some use ready radio cable and they say its works ok, but i am not shure. two coax works for me well. good luck Stasys

a bit off topic as a question?have you ever had issues with the slot in battery pack,into the armrest housing?random switch off an on,with a loose battery pack?
I dont know if this is typical for these units? I have an ML Explorer an it does this?

on my machine NO. not happened to me as of yet but i have heard of it happening to few peoples machine. if it keeps happening after cleaning the battery terminals its a fault on the power button panel if i remeber rightly? and thats a job for minelab. if you look at the gif & pic below you can see why. one peace panel.

Yes your right about the front panel on the Explorer.I dived into the case 3xpcb here,and the front panel ribbon cable dislodges from the connector,seemed to be my issue.not seated fully in,an only making intermitant contact ,time to time.All ok Now.all panel buttons functional! Great!

I use extension cable for explorer original coil in water. The extension are 1,5-2m. I got some fals signal at the bottom, and about the surface. I tried to use SVHS and RG58. What's the solution?
