Is the Cibola mod the same diagram for the SSumax?

I picked up a SSumax and would love to add GB. Any links would be appreciated that covers modding the SSumax. Thanks abunch,JR

Basically the same just make sure you get the right pot that is inside for GB and replace it with an external pot. A 1 turn pot will work until you can find a multiturn pot.

Thanks. I'm looking at the Bournes 10 turn and to put it in the lower left where the pinpoint is and get the toggle and mount it underside. Pretty much like the cibola mod.

I picked up a SSuMax and it should be here in a day or so. I'll break it down and see the inside.

So is there more than 1 trim pot mounted on the pcb on the SSuMax? Thanks,JR

I don't recall it's been a number of years since owning a SS umax
think there was only one. You need either 100 or 50K pot. I believe it will be the 50K.

I got my 50k Bournes pots from off ebay came from Taiwan $7.00 each,

For my Silver Umax I was orig. going to add GB.
But since my wife is going to use this unit decided to leave it alone as a turn on and go machine.

Well I got the SSuMax and opened it up. I found the little square bluetrim pot but it says 100k on it.

So should I go ahead and just order the 100k 10 turn? or get the 50k?
I'd think the 100k but just want to be sure.

That's the one 100K blue trim pot. As it should be the only trim pot in there.

Thanks again Sven. Went ahead and ordered the 50k and 100k just in case from that link you suggested. I know its been a while since you looked inside a SSumax. I seen the 1 pot and seen it had 100k in black numbers on it so I played it safe and ordered the 100k and the 50k just as backup. Theyre only $7 each. JR
