frequency changer ?

Hi i have a device that runs off 9-12 volts and i can adjust frequency setting from 12khz to 38khz is there any way i could attach this to pcb to use,the machine im using runs at 13khz
but its running on a coil made to run at 17khz ive fitted a phase control so my machine will except diff coils would it be possible to maybe get some use from this unit ?any ideas ?

Depends on the design of the detector. Most designs have the ground circuitry calibrated to ferrite, and changing the frequency will mess up the calibration and ground balance won't work.
