Hallo Carl and other Whites lovers,
I couldn't resist buying an obviously dysfunctional Whites DFX. The display lits up but nothing more is happening. No audio, nothing.
When I inspected the board I found that one quad amp OPA4277PA was in a socket and some capacitors have been exchanged in a crude manner. Is that the original type of Opamp in there? The former owner said that the DFX had been tuned by somebody and was better than another DFX from a friend. I've never heard about a DFX tuneup.
But may be this type has a better signal/noise ratio?
Anyway I think I've to get another board because that one doesn't power up properly. I wonder if Whites would sell me a mainboard if I am not a reseller or servicepoint?
