I had chance to test Sirius for couple hours, few years ago.
It came with 3 different coil ... or maybe four, i can't remember right now.
I tested it with 50x50cm (or it was 40x40cm... can't remember) coil and the small one from the photo.
    ....
What to say? Sirius was huge disappointment for me than.
It is far bellow from what is advertised to be.
I still remember idiotic advertise that i saw somewhere, made by some Greek seller.
He showed detection at 8 meters !!!
No way! Not even quarter from that!
User interface at Sirius is more than slow and irrational. Many "colors" and shiny bars everywhere on the LCD screen ... but no benefit from that.
It is very slow and poor design.
Adjustments are pretty funny settled in menus and pretty irrational for our common logic and habits.
Best result i gained with coil 50x50cm (or it was 40x40cm).. was detection of silver piece 10x10cm barely at 40cm in air!!!!!
I spent 4 hours adjusting it and experimenting with various setups. No progress...
Device itself is packed in pretty nice and quality package. Everything looks so neat and nice.
Coils are different story. Smallest one (on the photo) is made good.
But other coils are reminding me more on some home made than product made by serious manufacturer.
All the coil connectors are low quality (read "Made in China" - worst quality).
At each connector cable is soldered bad and already dangling inside.
Large coil was shipped without some holders and mating elements.
    etc...etc...etc...
Overall... pretty disappointing (considering very hot price and advertisements).

      Talking about "Kingdom of Pulse"......
Pulse Star II Pro is superior comparing to Sirius, at least from what i saw so far.
Delta Pulse is superior comparing to Sirus......
      Not to mention Lorenz.....
I saw some "Detech xyz" (can't remember exact model) , but with LCD and Disc feature - also superior comparing to Sirius....
So.... Sirius is pretty far away from any "Kingdom..."
I am very sorry if this looks like i have something against Sirius and his manufacturer - it is not the case!
I am just telling here my personal 4 hours experience with that detector.
It is very possible that i didn't managed to adjust it properly...

          Hi everybody.
I think Ivconic is right. I don't know about Sirius, but know about its' other product:
"Genesis". one friend had it. for about 3 years ago we took it to my buried test location.
a metal box with 20 x 30 x 40Cm dimensions at 3 meters depth; no beep, it was silent, tried again and again never gave even one single signal. regardless of its' ridiculous large LCD and heavy box which was the worst thing for night searching, it was an unable( I call paralytic) device, An entire crap.

Whereas our first PI-MD which was somehow weak and made in here (illegally) could hit the target.
It looks that DTI guys are professional dealers for others products not to make anything
in this realm, they are some guys who take advantage other people elaborates.
As near as I remember at beginning they were dealer for OKM products, Garrett products and some German products. The only independent product was a kind of LRL (Tomdec) which was entirely useless.
BTW, King of PIs? oh, yes, I have it and love it, but unfortunately it seems to be not accessible for you(MDL-8500 which Lorenz,... are nothing in comparison with it.)
if you're interested in, take a look on this thread:
http://174.132.129.189/~moreland/forums/showthread.php?t=14321 I don't know why this forum managers decided to delete the thread from tech forum part!!!!!!

I hope best success for all of you.

The thread has not been deleted. You can find it here -> http://www.geotech1.com/forums/showt...l+detectors%22

I suspect that the thread is now older than the default cutoff date.
You can change the cutoff date in your user profile (UserCP) as follows:
            1. Select UserCP
            2. Under "Settings & Options" select "Edit Options".
            3. Under "Thread Display Options" you can change the "Default Thread Age Cutoff" to something other than the default.

                          Whudda bunch of hokum.

Now, if Ivconic were to take a sledgehammer to his unit, he could take a picture of it... and THAT would deserve a place in the Modifications forum.

                            I didn't!

                            It was not my detector.
People who bought it gave it to me for couple hours, to try to "decipher" how to adjust it.
                            I failed...
But if it was mine i would eject existing PI from that box and embed Delta Pulse instead... that's for sure!
