Could someone please tell me what the value is for the 104 trimmers in the Minelab MusketeerColt, one of these trimmers are for the all metal mode threshold and the other 104 trimmer is for the discrimination mode threshold. I want to tweak the threshold to where my Colt "buzz's" when the sensitivity is max'd out. The top of the trimmer in my Colt is broke off (someone must have tried adjusting it before I got it). you don't really need a chart , can be done in your head.
same / similar to the resistor colour code but easier.
as carl says , 104 is 100k
103 is 10k , 102 is 1k ,etc etc,
the last digit is the same as the colours , brown is 1 ,red is 2 ,orange is 3,and yellow is 4
once you have got your head around the resistor colour code , then trim pots ar a doddle.

just had another thought , not sure if its free advertising though , i have no conection to it at all.
download electrodroid onto an android phone , brilliant app , lots of good features on it , and free , including resistor colour codes , common available values and numerical values such as what you require.
i use it often , 555 calculator , op amp calculator , 317 calculator , the list goes on , it's crammed with usefull stuff.
yup , sounds like i'm advertising the app doesn't it ??

104 --> 10 x 10^4 = 10 x 10,000 = 100,000 = 100k
333 --> 33 x 10^3 = 33 x 1,000 = 33,000 = 33k
472 --> 47 x 10^2 = 47 x 100 = 4700 = 4.7k
681 --> 68 x 10^1 = 68 x 10 = 680
150 --> 15 x 10^0 = 15 x 1 = 15

104 --> 10 plus 4 zeroes --> 100,000 = 100k
333 --> 33 plus 3 zeroes --> 33,000 = 33k
472 --> 47 plus 2 zeroes --> 4,700 = 4k7
681 --> 68 plus 1 zero --> 680 = 680R
150 --> 15 plus 0 zeroes -> 15 - 15R
This is exactly the same as Carl's example, but easier to work out.
