I would like to see some expansion on that "spark gap" theme. Just changed the plugs in my old pickup and have 6 Autolites ready to go! Have you ever "fiddled" worms? Stick a iron rod into the ground and vibrate it and the worms just bubble to the top and you pick them up and put them in your bucket. I want to see a "gold fiddler" that you just stick in the ground, turn it on, and the nuggets bubble to the top and you pick them up and put them in your bucket

Hey, you use the heel of your hand bumping your pan to make the gold climb out of the black sand don't you? LOL!

        hi deemon.
you have done a good job.
        congratulations.
You seem to be very advanced in electronics.
Would you tell me two things if this topic is still active?
What is the core of TP1
which city are you from ?

I stumbled across this thread today, and am in awe of what has been discussed by Deemon. This idea can't die here. Someone please tell me it has been refined over the years!!!!!

Sorry , but I had suspended this theme for some time , and didn't follow this topic . But I have a plan to continue it and finish . If somebody wanna make his own experiments , I will answer all the questions , of course . For the TR1 ( power transformer ) I use both a ferrite core and a special core wound of a thin ferromagnetic film - with better results .

            My city is Pyatigorsk , it's here - https://www.worldatlas.com/eu/ru/sta...yatigorsk.html

The whole idea isn't dead of course , the main problem is that I couldn't find a good "mechanical" parts to finish the complete working device - and haven't enough time to make them by myself . I mean the search coil case , the rod and the box for all electronic boards and battery . But all the "electronic" problems are solved well enough , so this principle can be considered as workable . By the way , the most difficult part of the whole design - the magnetic-controlled inductance coil , that is necessary to obtain an electronic auto-balance ( post 62 in the topic ) - isn't a problem now . I tried all the known solutions of this "transductor" ( or "magnetic amplifier" - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Magnetic_amplifier ) , but nothing could comply the extremely strong limitations of this circuit - I mean the resonant "ringing" in the control coil ( due to signal-control penetration ) ... so I had nothing to do but to invent it by myself Now I can obtain a great signal-to-control isolation , more than 100 dB , so the automatic signal chain auto-balance is workable too .

Hi Deemon. So glad that you are alive and seemingly well. Please tell us more. I'd love to help do some work on this one with you.
