The site is in German and I used Babelfish which only would show half of the main page and would not allow me to see the others.
So I'll ask you, are any of these really neat looking detectors of use to Gold nugget hunters or are they strictly for coin shooters? How much do they cost and what are the names of these units? Are these kits or fully built detectors?
This is problematic site. I watch it almost a year, but in all design but one is small part called PIU (pulse isolation unit) which is build by guy behind this site. I have asked about availability and price, but no anwer. And the site is almost half year dead, no new things. Only design that can be build without PIU is Tiny, but according two guys who have build it, it works not properly.
If a site does not give you complete information it is usually a site of somebody that wants to make some money off you . Nothing wrong with that as long as they state so from the beginning . Most of the schematics are old ones or are rehashed in a way that nobody can guarantee that they work properly . Be careful with what you are searching for . Hobbyists will help eachother . If not so , go to the store and buy one that works and has a guarantee . You may be cheaper off that way . YMO . Kees
The only thing i know about those detectors is that they have nice looking electronics and nice looking panel.BUT i dont know about sensitivity, they are interesting anyway!
Sergio . In the USA they have a factory that cans Tuna Fish . ( Star Kist Tuna ) . One of their commercials went as follows ; We don't want Tuna with good taste , We want Tuna that taste good . I think the same goes for Detectors . Looking good is one thing . Working properly is another ! Kees
sure, the Twiggy can be build without PIU, but this is the at least powerful design from this side. According to one guy from old forum (all old threads are now deleted) it can hardly detect at all. I can not say you, if the desing is flawed or the guy has maked some mistake. The last PI detector I have build was the Twinloop, it is good and stable and the next detector I will build should be something more powerful. The Digger (Klondike) looks promising to me, but I will wait until the documentation is complete and price or PIU known.
