Thank you very much for yours comments ,For the professional look ,it is easy with the Corel draw and a good box from Hammond (Canada).
Two o three years ago ,i explain in 3 parts in the Forum of Eric, the fabrication of my coils with PVC tubing ,filling with sand and a hot gun .......and for the mouvement of the coil (inclinaison )you have a perfect piece made of Hard black nylon(Bimini internal ends model:413163 at 2,69Dlls for 2)in West Marine,indestructible....
For the aclaration of Ltd research ,i mean Low Tech Design o research......
For the diameter coil I make what i want from 1inch probe to 40X80 coil,but the standart is 11inch diam and a second of 20 inch -resistance is about 2 Ohms,inductance around 400uH include coaxial.
The control are simple:
First the Mode Selector ,it is a hard touch selector (4 position)because i do not want to decharge my NimH battery in the bag meanwhile the trip.
mode On = normal i work with the hight channel for poor mineral soil (vegetal,white sand)it is the most sensitive mode.
A = Two channel mixed with 10K pot; the adjust of ground balance,This is for cancel mineral soil ,it work fine here in Mexico where soil are very volcanic and mineral with sacrifice to loose 30% .
B= The same but with the function of "pseudo discrimination with the switch DISC.it is a simple comparator ,around a predeterminate nivel this shut down the sound treshold ,it is good for reject big junk iron metal when u have some disparse coins....
AUDIO = is the audio treshold at around 5
POWER transmit =it is the variable pulse withch,this control is very good in the field,because when you have a signal you can aproximate if the target is ,deep or not, also you can put in STAND BY your detector,in the scale 0-1 is iqual to 70 Ma drain and in scale 9-10 it is 340 Ma....but YOU DO NOT HAVE MANY DIFFERENCE between 200 Ma (scale 5) in the field about 2 inch in a coke aluminium can.
Track = is the infamous AUTO track reducing the sensibility....
Low Batt :the One transistor ,one 11v Zener ,one flashing led, MiCKROV circuit (I Like this simplicity),
Vco= to adjust sometimes a little bit more o less the pulse frequency (center Fcy 660 PPS) to stabilisze your audio treshold (Warbbble)
SENS= to adjust the final Op sensibility ,trimmer (center at 5K) ,sometimes with the 40X40 coil.
DELAY= first at Edge (good for gold silver,bad for hight mineral soil)and at 20 turn around 120 uS .
RESET = the famous ZEROing for manual searching.
Display digital : to measure the signal strengh-0 to 1000around...very fine for Archeological research ,YES , for red pot ceramic.......divide the field in small squares and measure in each center of the square........Eric can explain better with good english...
And behind you have the Charge ,phone and coil connectors ........no fuse i put polyswitch and work fine.
For the target detection it is the general schemme just about the Deepstar for the same draining current.Air test 13 inch a nickel with good audio identification.......It is not a Milagros i use the frond end Of Eric and also a 5534 ......
