What design is that? S
At this moment I can not give you a schematic because
I might want to make a DIY project, but I'm not sure.
I can tell you that the circuit does not contain crystal and no pic.
It has 2 transistors 1 ic and a voltage regulator and 6 resistance and 5 capacitors,
1 diode and a coil. Thats all. It is simple and efective.

Small core and short coil concentrating magnrtic field at the end as well as sensitivity instead of usual pinpointers with long core and long coil.
Am I right?

I have to disappoint you.
You says a small core .................Nupi says no.
The coil is special, but it is not the advantages of this device.
The coil is special because it can detect very
small parts with the dimensions that it has.
2.5 by 3.5 centimeters.
Theoretically,is this very difficult, but in practice possible.
The advantages of this device is determined by many factors.
The oscillator is very important. He is actually very similar to the oscillator
which is described in the very interesting book

But with one ferrite core is only 10% less depth.
I have the circuit built in several versions. He does on a real breadboard very good.
The detection depth is the same as on the video.
But the best result I have with a circuit in the air. Without board 20% more depth.
And when you any second 2 detecting chirps accept, then
detects the pinpointer 30% more depth than on the video.
So, then detects the pinpointer a 50 eurocents to 14 cm without becoming unstable.
That's why I said it can be even more Improved.

Do you know someone who has a lot of knowledge of microprocessors?

But it does give better Distance of detection.

But it is much easier to pinpoint with 3 cm. pinpointer coil than with 30 cm. metal detector coil anyway.
Also it has good dept with bigger coil and instead of metal detector it caching small gold.
That idea to build pinpointer with shorter and bigger diameter core works very well! Magnetic field goes much dipper with such shape of coil than with regular pinpointers.
Interesting, maybe with disk shape of core and even bigger diameter of coil it will let to create a metal detector that can find small chains finally.

I think, it depends on what for detection standard you take for a pinpointer.
In the video you can see, for example: link number 2 and 3 for me is this
a pinpointer detection.
But how good is a pinpointer that is sensitive on 1 square centimeter,
but can not detect the target?

A one and the same coil that can detect 1 euro on 12 centimeters and a link of 0.07 grams of gold on 0.5 centimeters is very special.
Many ingenieurs will attest.
