You live in California? Man that's too hot for me. I would not survive. I would also stay home. With many air conditioners.

      • Outside Phoenix Arizona, and yes many air conditioners.

        • Here on Hawaii 80 F air and water all the year. I have dumped air conditioner to the dumpster because never turned it on for last seven years.
I like 80 F may be it is too hot for some people.

Living here is expensive but worth to try.

Nupi - If you're a magnet for gold, then why don't you have any money?

              • Thank you! Frankly I think your invention is much more valuable for that guys who hitting dust trying to find small gold nuggets.
I do not know how to use pinpointer if I stay in water 4ft. deep all the day.
                ....
                Wait a moment!!! Idea!!!
I can fill it with epoxy and put pinpointer inside my diving boot.
So I can find a target with my foot!
                That is an improvement.

May be your LONG RANGE pinpointer as attachment for the boot is an interesting idea.
Imagine: If you have a doubts where target is just try it with your foot!!!
Anyway both your hands are busy to hold scoop and detector and you have no tail to hold pinpointer.

                    But epoxy is too heavy.

And in xx months time we going to see this solution in a patent registered by a well known company.

Will this pinpointer work underwater....SALT water
I will give it a go in a waterproof case, inside a slipper to beach hunt

                            I think so.

                            • I am just interesting, Nupi you are a great inventor! Can you make that schematic automatically adjusted so there will be no needs in pots at all. If no adjustments are needed it will help to waterproof pinpointer easily and it will be simpler for use too. And may be it will self correcting for different grounds. What you think?

                              • Also I have an idea how to make it compact.
As I already have told frequently with bigger diameter core that pinpointer will go deeper - MORE LONG RANGE.

So I think it is reasonable to get a ferrite ring or cup big enough to put SMD PCB inside and wind coils outside.
So you will have a perfect slim disk working as sensor for pinpointer. Pot it in epoxy. All indications and power supply put on other side of three wire cable.

Now you can attach that sensor disk to your metal detector coil (with some spacing), or scoop, or boot and hook indication block on your belt or headphones.
So there is no needs anymore to hold pinpointer in hand (or use tail )
