    I like you.
Now I understand why WaiKikiriki never build circuits.
If the parts come he's forgotten where he wanted to use it.
When parts came there will be auto tuning schematic posted already so I will save not only time but some parts too.

Anyway I can not use pinpointer that needs some cranky adjustments when it is 4 ft. underwater. Or I have to dive bottom up to adjust it all the time. And loose all staff from my junk box in that position.

That is precisely the best pinpointer for you ..
Then you can finally latem the mp3 player home.
But the most important thing is you not get bored any more and get hopefully no more ideas.

Looks like it is from Ukraine, not Russia. Now it is a big difference. I prefer to boycott Russian goods and you know why!

                  Are you kidding me???
Would you on this way, on a DIY thread, your russian crap offer for sale?
The pointer from Ukraine is a good pointer but coming from Russia is real sh.t real P.t.n sh.t
I know the Russian m @ rs pointer, three years ago you could buy them as a woman toy.
I have a promotional photo of 3 years ago found for you.
They are because to high radioactive removed from the sales
If you need one, you can still buy them maybe in russian fake ebay.
Now you can still buy them painted black, but now as a pinpointer.

Would you buy a real good pinpointer??
                  Buy this. But with Dollars

                  • Dear Nupi,

Please do not be disappointing with low attention to your project. It is just because visitors traffic on Geotech is very low.
If you really want to spread your pinpointer idea it will require much more work.

Firrst you need to build some website from where you will let people to order kits. (Like Silverdog did.)
Than register on every MD forum and spread a news (Like Silverdog did.)
So you will see some interest to your invention rising.
Also there is eBay to put something on sale. But it is slow too.

Please do not expect much because anyway DIY niche capacity is very limited.
(You can ask Silverdog why his website is not growing much.)
Most of detectorists are dumbs in electronic and they will never risk to assemble something.
They will only buy finished product and from well known brand and with some warranties.

                    With Best Regards!

                    WS

Hi, I'm not disappointed, I thought that there were more people doing DIY electronics.
My intention is not to create a kit. For that I need to invest a lot of time and
my health does not always allow.

In the first place I thought of the people who can not pay a Expensive pinpointer.
I've been trying to build a cheap and simple pinpointer with reasonable performance that no board need
and it even does well on breadboard.

Hi, that does not matter to me, but if you find for yourself fun to do it,
I have no problems with it.
                          Vielen Dank für Ihr Angebot

                          • oh ok, there are some people who have big fun in diy electronics
                            so i will do

most projects need a while to get started right,
i think at moment the most hobbybuilders are out to detecting
if the weather i bad for a longer period they go in their hobbylabs and solder i´m sure

                            thanks nupi

                            • Hello
I also built the pinpointer as hadrianus colleague (min Hungarian) and I had a stability problem.
The R3 resistance trimmer potentiometer I changed and became stable.
                              The HUF 1 45 - 50 mm to detect.
It has been a good pinpointer.
                              Thank you everyone!

                              • I thought of the automatic tuning for a pinpointer, but then I realised that even the commercial ones are doing it kinda semi-automatic. Otherwise the clicker trick for improving sensitivity wouldn't work. When you switch it on it goes into a ~2 seconds cycle of self-tuning, and then it is ready. Point is that if you let the stabilising circuitry do it's thing all the time, you in effect get a motion compensated device. If you go with extremely slow motion compensation, it takes forever till it stabilises. So how about a push button stabilisation. In a way it would provide some kind of ground balance as well.
