Hello. I redesigned the scheme GS6 with the help of the original scheme, but there is something I do not know if it's okay.
I ask please Orbit to review this scheme, because I have some doubts and I'm not sure that all is well. Orbit is the author of this scheme and therefore we ask for your help. I have done this project, but has problems with iron discrimination. I have also done the GS4 and it works perfectly and iron discrimination is almost perfect. Gs6 is a very interesting project for me, but I have serious doubts about the connections of the two CD 4093 and CD 4066.
Kind regards.Attached Files

I see on your Eduardo1979 schematic, you have RV6 for adjusting ground balance.
If you look at this post from Reg here : http://www.geotech1.com/forums/showt...448#post123448
You will see him talk about Switch 1a. Look at this switch and see how it operates in the original schematic by Alexis.
Further, look at the following posts by Reg and Jose.

By using a switch 1a, in place as shown in Alexis original. The user has the ability to select signals from BOTH channels. Or ONLY from the Gold channel. Remember that the Gold channel samples earlier than the Iron channel.
Examine the difference between the output on Alexis IC3 between pin7, and pins 9 and 10. Compare that with Orbits U6b pin7 and pins 9 and 10. This is where you can follow the suggestions made in the linked posts to select a Low or High signal.
Reading the posts I linked to above will help you understand what is happening.
Orbits machine is a very nice example. If I had the time and spare money I would build it. And try implement the ideas shown in the 3 posts I linked to above.
Thanks for sharing your work with us.

hello erduardo
have you redrawn the layout from orbit for sprinlayout (i know you work with sprint layout)
or did you use the black/White Image from the entry post
i am interested in the sprintlayout file
if nobody has done this already i would Import it to sprint layout and post it here the next days
so we have also a base for future improvements
