      your ici lf357n not original
I tried this version of ici (m54af LF357N) is fake ici . Coming from China or singapor
try lf356 or tl081 To test the device initially you get an original piece

Sticking them in polystyrene isn't going to help either!
Static electricity will kill ICs, or at least weaken them so that they die later.

                • you always can sort any opamp on state work-burnt by special tester.

                    • Hi, I am sorry if this is a bit off topic but it is the nearest thread to to question I want to ask. I am building an ROV and would like to have metal detecting capabilities. I am interested in buying a Surf Pi kit and try and adapt it for ROV use. I have a 75m tether with spare twisted pair cat5 cables would the distance between coil and PCB (75m) be to great for the Surf Pi to work correctly.
PS I am new here and have limited electronic experience.

                      Thanks Tony
