My Feleizo Pi was working. The problem was in the characteristics of the winding, when I made a 1.5ohm and 420uh coil, the Irf 840 stopped heating.

FelezJoo Fix

Hello,
I have added in series a pot 10k 2W with the resistor R11 390R;
With adjusting this pot you can:
- Use any NPN small signal instead of Mosfet BS170 (2n5551, BC548..........etc)
- Fix Coil Error Message
- Use any Amplifier as LF356, TL081..... instead of LF357
- Change the super Value A B and C
- Get the discrimination works correctly


You can also use à Battery >14,5 to supply your FelezJoo by changing the resistor R20 from 4k7 to 5k1 or 6k8.

The same Schematic but a different resistors numbing. Find in attached file the Resistor R20 4k7 (In your attached file is R12) to change 5k1 or 6k8.

R5 changed by 2k2 and BS170 to BC337
supply voltage 15,7V

at first use with 12v detector startet but give warning for low voltage on display
then i connect 15,7V (4*18650 with 3,7V)

then nothing appear on display, no sound no light
7812 and 7805 gets instant hot after connecting supply voltage

coil was not connected at first start

any ideas what to check?

This is nice project, a lot to learn. Maybe one day I will try to make this detector. Seems a lot of people having success.
Bernte, what if the micro has failed? Switching the output MOSFET high while sinking the 5v regulator.

If the 7812 gets hot, i would first measure the resistance between output and gnd. Then, i would make the same measurement at the output of 7805.
Then, you can take off all chips and turn it on, then, put them again one by one and check the temp...

don't put 337instead of bs 170 just remove 337 and it will work but u should put bs170 becouse it's a mosefet u can replace it with 2n7000 but with reverse leg

i found mistake

OMG i soldered the wires to the lcd and produce a shorting, from pin 1->2 vss /vdd
i hope i only crashed the lcd and not both µcontrollers i tested
