The method is very simple. And not new.
Design a sticker on your computer and print it on an inkjet printer on plain A4 paper. Now we are preparing a two component epoxy resin.
We cover the printed pattern with epoxy on both sides, so that the paper is saturated with epoxy.
When the paper is saturated, remove excess from the surface with a scraper.
Leave on a flat surface until completely dry. After drying, the completely fulli waterproof sticker.
Then stick it on the double-sided tape.
Can print on a laser printer. It turns out more contrast. The method is good if you need to make a small amount.

              • Very nice result

Thanks for the info on how to make the stickers.
I'll try that to reproduce the missing sticker around the selection knob of my VMH3CS.

                • Thanks to all.
So that the epoxy impregnates the paper faster.
After applying the epoxy, heat it with a hair dryer.
                  Take from your wife ...

Epoxy must dry for a long time. Fast curing for 5 minutes is not suitable !!!

                        Hi Bernard,
I had a couple of Vallons where the label was very damaged, so I took a reasonable one off another machine and scanned it. I had to fill in some marks where it had worn away just under 'normal'. I had to scale it to get back to the proper size and then printed it out on normal printing paper. I had some matt polycarbonate laminating film from a previous label printing kit, which I carefully rollered over the face of the printed label. Having trimmed the edges with a scalpel, I then applied double sided Cellotape to the back. The only difference you might notice is that the Vallon logo is replaced with EF.

                        • Nice work Eric !
Looks exactly like the original label - but what an excellent idea to personalize it !
This adhesive film method is even easier than the epoxy coating.

                          Thanks,
                          - Bernard

Great looking build and thanks for sharing your sticker method! One question, after you scrape the excess epoxy off what material do you let the sticker dry on? Wax paper or non stick plastic? Thanks

I use Punched Pocket Polypropylene for A4 paper documents.
                              See link. https://www.durable-uk.com/filing-an...durable-2.html
And so you can use any film and the surface to which the epoxy is not sticky.
Wax paper will do very well, rubber mat.
The main advantage of making stickers in this way is water resistance.
