Does anybody have the complete user manual ? thanks.
Had a quick play, its very sensitive, got to figure out how to turn down sensitivity, one led is not working.
Today my second Vallon VMH3CS has arrived. This time the version with the Pinpoint-Button. The first problem is to switch from sea-mode to land-mode. The instruction says I have to hold pinpoint and + and switch on the detector (to normal mode?). But so I only switch to led mode (no sound or vibration) and canĀ“t change to land mode.
Can someone help me or make a video?

I have tried previously to access the surf mode, but it doesn't seem to work. However, I have not had any problem using the Vallon right into the water's edge in the normal mode. I tried this morning holding pinpoint and + and it does the same as yours - switching to LED mode only. To return to all modes, press - C + (all three together) then turn on.
I emailed Vallon a few months ago as I could not change the filter settings describe in my manual. Their reply was that initial programming can be different depending on which market the units are being sold to. They would not expand on this. I suspect therefore, that most units on the market in UK are not programmed with a surf mode.
ThankĀ“s a lot. I will test a bit more combinations. It is a vallon from the uk. In surf mode it is not so deep, but i think it is not so sensible to EMI.

I am not entirely sure I understand what you mean by "surf mode".....my VMH3CS's are all UK too and none have a "surf mode" as far as I am aware. The manual I have seen doesnt mention it....rather says if using in water, to allow time to adjust for temp changes, then press "C" to compensate if needed.
The VMC1 does have a water mode however and is accessed by pressing the "minus" button and the pin-point button while turning the machine on.

This is the same for the VMH3CS.
My Vallon cames with Surf mode/ salt water mode switched on (LED 13 glow every 2 seconds and you hear a blip, in Mineral setting you hear 2 blips). The Question is how to switch it off, because I have no salt water near me. Pressing the "minus" button and pin-point while turnig machine on does only change the indication to LED only (no sound, no vibration).

My manual doesnt mention anything of the "surf or salt water" mode. (In normal soil, the machine makes one blip, in mineral 2 blips).

You cannot switch off LED 13 and the blip (1 or 2) every 2 seconds. This is a confidence signal that the detector is working, which is something you definitely need to know when looking for mines. To warn you when you are in mineral mode where the machine behaves a bit different, you get two blips. As there is no background threshold sound there is no way that you would continously know that the detector is working properly or not, without the blips.
If you have surf mode then, according to the manual, LED number 2 does a short flash every 2 seconds, but the UK ones I have do not appear to have this facility. I have not tested them all however, but from my tests on the beach you do not need it.
In paragraph 3, in German, "LED nummer 2", followed in () by (short flashing every 2 seconds). Could you have counted the LEDs from the wrong end? 1 - 14, starting from the left is correct.
Eric.

Reason: LED numbering

You are right Eric.
I the LED that is flashing is LED 13. On my older Vallon (without Pin-Point Button) there does no LED flash. Maybe it was programmed in a later firmeware as security-indication. The older Version is silent if you have set it up right.
ThankĀ“s for clarify this.
I will do some depth test with both Vallons, so they should get the same distance.
