    • This is the coil error sound.
No flyback pulse is detected. There was a layout around here where pin 8 and 9 were not shorted.
Check all the DC voltages described here: http://users.telenet.be/willaert/MD/pickini/pickini_en/V4/electronics.html

              • 2 differences in DC voltages are:
                - pin 4 of the PIC = pinpoint pushbutton seems to be shorted - or switch closed : 0V instead of 5 V
                - pin 5 of the opamp: not connected: 9.1V instead of 4.8V ??

Is the coil properly connected ? - check with ohmmeter between the 2 outer pins of the coil connector.
No short circuit with shielding? - check with ohmmeter between outer pins and middle pin

                • All seems normal, coil is properly connected, pinpoin on off nothing change, yes pin5 opamp is 9v. Not shielding yet, should i?
I use standalone pickit3 programer, not set anything.

                  Update:
                  Change one 10uf caps pin4 16f2824 now 5v

                      • There are a number of points in your PCB layout where the ground plane is almost touching other points:

Do you have a flyback pulse every 2 ms ? Check that the IRF740 is not shorted at the points indicated.

Anxious to get workin on this project, still waiting on some parts and my chips but in the mean time got my board done and ready to go. Not to bad for my first try at doing my own board... Great thread and lookin like a great project...

Nice & clean board, but i think you need to short pin 8 and 9 pic legs

Hey thank you. Yep, I caught the pin 8 & 9 short so will do it when I solder the socket, thanks for the heads up though, much appreciated.
